Avery and her Nebulizer
Unfortunately both kids seem to have Shane's genes when it comes to their health. Every time Tristan or Avery catches a cold they end up having to do breathing treatments every 4 hours for a few days. They are so accustomed to it by now that Avery can do it on her own which is actually quite a feat for a 2 year old since it involves sitting still for 15 minutes :) T
Ice Skating
taking a break
I made a deal with him towards the end of the class if he could skate to the other side & back he could be done for the day. The instructors weren't in on it, so they kept grabbing him and bringing him back in the class, but as you can see, his persistance paid off, and his dad was proud.
Tristan has come a long way in just a few ice skating lessons. He can get up on his own and actually skate a distance without falling. He is keeping right up with the other kids in his class even though most of the other kids are 4 or older. He wears his hockey helmet like a champ and collects a new sticker at the end of each class.

Presents!
Avery's birthday is on New Year's Eve and I had to work this year, so we celebrated a few nights later with a family party at Nonnie's House. We had pizza, cake, ice cream and popsicles. Avery got a dollhouse with furniture and a car for her dollhouse people to ride around in. Friend Bill from San Diego was visiting for the holidays and was able to be there for Avery's party.

Tristan squeezing the air out of me
On New Years Day we ventured into Boston to see the rest of the ice sculptures. It was absolutely freezing, so we had to have quick close up views for the kids. Tristan especially loved the Tarzan sculpture at Copley Place.
