The Stone Zoo

On Sunday, Oct 21, we went to the Stone Zoo in Stoneham. We were expecting it to be packed with people because it was 76 degrees, so we went at about 2:45pm which is just over an hour before closing. It worked out perfect. A huge amount of people were leaving when we got there and we didn't have to wait in any lines. Tristan was on cloud nine. He looooves animals! First he saw the snow leopard. He called it "The tiger" which was the closest thing in his vocabulary to "leopard", so we went with that. Then he was running up the hill howling to go see the wolves. The grand finale were the cougars, which even impress me every time we see them. Tristan was yelling "cougars" repeatedly. Even Avery was checking out all the animals. We had to drag Tristan out of the zoo, when they closed. It was a good day, and the Red Sox won game 7 that night.

Shelburn Farms

On Saturday, Oct 13th, we went to Shelburn farms with Auntie, and cousin Leon, or Josh as he is known to the rest of the world. We ate the best apple cider donuts ever. They came right out of the oven. We ate alot of them. The kids picked a few apples, and we picked our halloween pumpkins. Tristan had to wear Daddy's hat today, too.

Newburyport fall festival

On Sunday, Oct 7, we took the kids to the Newburyport Fall Festival. The main attraction for us that day was a performer who had a concert that was tailored toward kids. He had the kids jumping around and dancing, and even used puppets. Tristan was showing the other kids how to breakdance.

Trip to Russell Orchids Farm

On Saturday Oct 6th, we were on our way to the Topsfield fair, when we realized our sneaky plan of going at 5:00pm wasn't so sneaky, and the line of traffic was back almost to the highway. So we decided to go to Russell Orchards Farm in Ipswich instead. It worked out great because the weather was great, right before sunset, Tristan got to see all the animals, and we got to eat a buch of goodies. The whole farm smelled like apples & sugar. We had apple cider, apple cider donuts, cookies, and little apple pies.

Tristans 2nd Birthday Party

So I figured that a good place to start bloggin would be Tristans 2nd birthday party. Even though it was 2 1/2 weeks ago. We Went to North Suburban YMCA in Woburn for a pool/playroom party. A good time was had by all. Tristan loved being the center of attention, and absolutely loved when everyone starting singing "Happy Birthday".

Seeing how this thing works

So this is my first posting. I guess it is working alright. Well it's Oct 12th (Lanes birthday, Happy Birthday) The Red Sox start the ALCS tonight against the Indians. Go Sox! Other than me talking about the Red Sox, this posting is just a "getting starting" one.
